Our Programme
A practice session (water fitness and skills) lasts 60 to 90 minutes.
The programme is subject to change because the facilities are shared with Affies Water Polo. Changes to the programme will be communicated to parents in good time.
HERFS/WINTER 2022
- CYCLE 1
- CYCLE 2
- CYCLE 3
- CYCLE 4
In cycle 1, the focus will be on the basis of water polo. The player's body position is one of the most important aspects of the sport and will be thoroughly practiced. The first part of our program focuses on overall mobility in the water.
In this cycle, sessions will build on what is already being practiced in cycle 1. Ball skills get attention during this phase.
Throwing the ball into the net is the main goal of water polo and something the players enjoy the most. In this cycle's sessions, the different techniques will be practiced to score a goal during a match. Exercises will start with elementary skills and become systematically more complex and challenging.
The best way to learn to play water polo is to put your skills into practice. In this cycle, match-based exercises will be used to improve the players' skills. The practices will overflow into matches where the players can compete with each other.
